About the role#
Create Music Group is seeking a Digital Rights Intern to support digital rights operations within the YouTube CMS. This part-time internship is designed for current undergraduate or graduate students looking to gain experience in music distribution and digital rights management. You will work closely with department leads to onboard sound recording assets and execute strategies to drive revenue for clients.
What you'll do#
- Assist in uploading and organizing YouTube assets into our CMS.
- Conduct research to identify user-generated content (UGC) that utilizes client assets.
- Apply fair use knowledge to place copyright claims and maximize revenue.
- Compile, list, and maintain detailed records of client assets to ensure account accuracy.
- Analyze YouTube channels and asset data to identify unclaimed content and evaluate channel performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student (must receive credit for the internship).
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Passion for music with knowledge of current trends and new genres.
- Familiarity with content formats on YouTube.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling multiple projects.
- Motivation to start a career in the music industry.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or Computer Science.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Modality: Hybrid (must be able to report to the office 1-2 times per week).
- Term: Summer or Fall 2026.
- Commitment: 10-23 hours per week for 3-4 months.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
