About the role#
Create Music Group is seeking a Digital Rights Intern to support operations within the YouTube CMS. This part-time internship is designed for current undergraduate or graduate students looking to gain experience in music distribution and digital rights management. You will work closely with department leads to onboard assets and execute strategies that drive revenue for clients.
What you'll do#
- Assist in uploading and organizing YouTube assets into the CMS.
- Conduct research to identify user-generated content (UGC) using client assets.
- Apply fair use knowledge to place copyright claims.
- Compile, list, and maintain detailed records of client assets to ensure account organization.
- Analyze YouTube channels and asset data to identify unclaimed content.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student (must receive credit for the internship).
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Passion for music with knowledge of current trends and new genres.
- Familiarity with content formats on YouTube.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple tasks.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the music industry.
- Majors preferred include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or Computer Science.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (must be able to report to the office 1-2 times per week).
- Schedule: 10-23 hours per week.
- Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026 (3-4 month duration).
- Compensation: Paid internship.
