About the role#
Create Music Group is seeking a Copyright Specialist Intern to join the Digital Rights team. This role supports digital rights operations by resolving copyright conflicts, managing channel strikes, and determining rights for assets and clients. This is a part-time, hybrid internship designed for current students during the Summer and Fall 2026 terms.
What you'll do#
- Assist the DRM Copyright team in resolving ownership conflicts on YouTube and TikTok.
- Help resolve channel strikes on client channels to protect the YouTube Network.
- Assert ownership and manage revenue resolution for digital assets.
- Work closely with department leads to support daily digital rights operations.
- Communicate effectively with peers to ensure project success.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, with the ability to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in the music industry.
- Familiarity with YouTube content formats and passion for current music trends and genres.
- Ability to stay organized and detail-oriented while managing multiple tasks.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Relevant academic background in Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, or Nursing.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Modality: Hybrid, requiring attendance at the Los Angeles office 1 to 2 times per week.
- Schedule: 10 to 23 hours per week.
- Duration: 3 to 4 months.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
