About the role#
Corteva Agriscience is seeking an intern to join the Genetic and Molecular Toxicology group in Newark, Delaware. You will work in a Good Laboratory Practice compliant facility alongside experienced scientists. This position offers hands-on experience in molecular toxicology and the opportunity to contribute to research projects that support food security and sustainability.
What you'll do#
- Support toxicity testing for plant production products under the guidance of a Principal Investigator.
- Develop and evaluate machine learning approaches for high-content imaging datasets from the Cellomics CX7 platform.
- Build automated workflows to identify, classify, and quantify cellular endpoints.
- Compare machine-generated outputs against manual analyses to measure performance and accuracy.
- Work with assay scientists to find ways to improve current lab workflows.
- Document your methods and results, then present your findings to project teams at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate program in computational science, biomedical, life science, or a related field.
- A strong interest in both biology and machine learning.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong technical data and communication skills.
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects.

- Location: Newark, Delaware.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
