About the role#
Corient is hiring a Tax Intern for the Winter 2027 term, running from January through April. This is a paid, part-time position requiring approximately 24 hours of work per week. The role is based on-site at our offices in New York, San Diego, Houston, or Miami. You will work within a team that supports high-net-worth individuals and families with their wealth preservation and tax planning needs.
What you'll do#
- Prepare individual, trust, estate, gift, foundation, and business tax returns.
- Review tax source documents and verify data accuracy for information processed through OCR.
- Collect and input financial records into tax software.
- Conduct research to support tax planning and compliance efforts.
- Assist the team in handling Federal and State tax notices and audits.
- Maintain detailed tax files and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for accounting or taxation.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax laws.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work on-site four days per week.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
