About the role#
As a Data Analytics Engineer Intern, you will join the Data & Reporting team at our Dallas headquarters. You will work closely with data consumers, executives, and analysts to support our data infrastructure and AI-assisted analytics initiatives. This position offers exposure to the full lifecycle of data projects, from initial user requirements to final implementation.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and implementation of data warehouse and AI-driven BI solutions.
- Support the development of AI-enabled analytics capabilities, including semantic layer integration and natural language interfaces.
- Build and maintain batch, real-time, and streaming analytics pipelines using data from APIs, NoSQL databases, and event streams.
- Analyze, document, and fulfill user story requests to meet business needs.
- Maintain an understanding of Business Intelligence technology, including ETL/ELT processing and reporting methods.
- Conduct internal testing and user acceptance testing for new reports and dashboards.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a strong preference for Python in data and AI workloads.
- Experience with SQL and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Practical experience with BI and analytics tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Omni.
- Familiarity with AI and ML concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and agentic workflows.
- Ability to manage multiple requirements and pay close attention to detail.
