    About the role#

    Copart is seeking a QA Engineering Intern to join the Test Automation Team. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at the company headquarters in Dallas, Texas. The role focuses on developing automation frameworks and contributing to the overall quality assurance strategy.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with the Test Automation Team to support software quality initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks.
    • Execute test cases and perform detailed analysis of results.
    • Participate in design reviews to provide input on testing strategies.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing testing processes.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Proven experience with TypeScript and/or Java, including a firm grasp of object-oriented analysis and design.
    • A strong drive to write clean, efficient test automation code for UI and RESTful web services.
    • Ability to translate user stories into comprehensive test cases.
    • Understanding of TDD and BDD best practices, as well as browser rendering behavior and front-end performance.
    • Familiarity with relational databases, specifically MariaDB.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Preferred but not required: Experience with HTML, CSS, ReactJS, Python, or Playwright.
