About the role#
The Field Operations Intern supports Superintendents and Project Managers with daily field operations. You will gain hands-on experience in construction quality, schedule management, and site coordination. This is a full-time, on-site role for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of the project safety program and conduct safety walks.
- Assist with daily reports, quantity reports, and project schedule updates.
- Interpret contract drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
- Participate in the quality assurance program, including site inspections and material compliance checks.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and monitor onsite material deliveries.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, RFIs, and submittal tracking.
- Observe site conditions and participate in project team meetings.
- Use construction management software to track and update project data.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and practices.
- Understanding of construction scheduling, including critical path method concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Aptitude for learning construction management software.
- Strong organizational skills.
