About the role#
The Field Operations Intern supports Superintendents and Project Managers with daily site administration. You will assist with safety program management, quantity tracking, schedule analysis, and job site documentation. This role provides hands-on experience in field coordination and construction quality.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of the project safety program and conduct safety walks.
- Assist the assistant superintendent, superintendent, and project manager with daily and weekly activities.
- Prepare daily reports and compile quantity reports.
- Update project schedules and contribute to the short-term planning process.
- Develop an understanding of the overall project schedule and critical path analysis.
- Participate in the quality assurance program, including performing site inspections and verifying materials for compliance.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and monitor onsite material deliveries.
- Maintain project documentation such as daily logs, RFIs, and submittal tracking.
- Participate in project team meetings to report on site conditions that could impact schedule, cost, or safety.
- Use construction management software to track and update project information.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and technical documents.
- Aptitude for learning construction management software.
- Basic understanding of construction scheduling and critical path method concepts.
- Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and reporting.

- Location: Williamstown, Massachusetts.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $24 - $29 per hour.
