About the role#
The Office of the Registrar at Colorado State University is hiring a Non-Student Hourly Academic Record Specialist. This temporary, full-time role supports the Academic Records unit by providing administrative and customer service. You will serve as a primary resource for faculty and staff, while handling escalated student service issues. This position requires 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service and enrollment expertise to students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, chat, and in-person interactions.
- Manage academic records transactions, including appeals, registration changes, transcript requests, and enrollment verifications.
- Evaluate domestic transfer coursework and process transfer credits using university guidelines, dedicating about half of your time to these tasks.
- Coordinate specialized degree conferral processes and end-of-term activities.
- Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and procedural resources.
- Train and mentor team members while collaborating with campus partners to resolve complex records issues.
- Contribute to special projects, process improvements, and policy feedback.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working in higher education within a Registrar’s Office, Enrollment Services, or Academic Affairs department.
- Proficiency with administrative student information systems, specifically Ellucian Banner and CollegeSource products like u.Achieve and Transferology.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interactions.
- Ability to identify issues and implement problem-solving strategies independently.
- Experience building relationships through collaborative projects.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken Spanish is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is located at Centennial Hall in Fort Collins, Colorado.
- The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office and two days remote, following the completion of training.
- This is a full-time, temporary position with a pay rate of $24.50 per hour.
