About the role#
The School of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering (SBCE) at Colorado State University employs Non-Student Hourly Research Assistants to support faculty-led research, laboratory, computational, and technical activities. Assignments are based on specific project needs, available funding, and individual qualifications.
What you'll do#
- Assist with laboratory, computational, analytical, or engineering research activities.
- Prepare samples, materials, equipment, or other resources for research tasks.
- Collect, organize, process, and analyze research data.
- Operate research equipment, instrumentation, software, or computational tools.
- Conduct literature searches and organize scientific or technical information.
- Maintain accurate research records, laboratory notebooks, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other members of the research team.
- Follow established safety, research compliance, and data management procedures.
What you'll need#
- Education, training, or experience relevant to assigned research activities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate research records and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a research team.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant degree, coursework, or previous experience in laboratory, computational, or technical research.
