About the role#
The School of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering (SBCE) at Colorado State University hires Non-Student Hourly Research Assistants to support faculty-led research projects. Assignments are determined by project needs, available funding, and individual qualifications. This is a paid, hourly position involving laboratory, computational, or technical research tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with laboratory, computational, analytical, or engineering research activities.
- Prepare samples, materials, equipment, and other resources for research tasks.
- Collect, organize, process, and analyze research data.
- Operate research equipment, instrumentation, software, or computational tools.
- Conduct literature searches and organize scientific or technical information.
- Maintain accurate research records, databases, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other members of the research team.
- Follow established safety, research compliance, and university procedures.
What you'll need#
- Education, training, or experience relevant to assigned research activities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate research records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
- Preferred: Relevant degrees, coursework, or specialized technical training and previous research experience.
