About the role#
The Colorado State University Grounds Department is hiring seasonal staff for general maintenance and upkeep of campus spaces. This role involves a variety of outdoor tasks to keep the university grounds functional and clean. This position is open to non-students only.
What you'll do#
- Perform general grounds tasks such as mowing, raking, edging, string trimming, and shoveling.
- Prepare soil for sod and flower planting.
- Manage sports turf maintenance and watering.
- Remove litter and clean curbs, sidewalks, streets, parking lots, and campus plazas.
- Assist with chemical spraying and fertilization.
- Provide support for campus events.
- Maintain, repair, clean, and organize equipment and storage facilities.
What you'll need#
- A valid Driver License.
- Ability to pass a Criminal and Motor Vehicle Background Check.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to interact professionally with the campus community.
- Experience operating grounds equipment like mowers, trimmers, edgers, and hand tools.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Mechanical aptitude.

- Pay: $16.22 per hour.
