About the role#
CNO Financial Group is hiring an IT Strategy Intern to join our IT Business Architecture team. You will work alongside experienced associates on daily tasks and projects. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will have access to networking events, career counseling, leader talks, and an in-person event at a corporate office.
What you'll do#
- Gather information from stakeholders to identify business needs, challenges, and opportunities.
- Create and update business process maps, workflow diagrams, and presentation materials.
- Research and compile data from business teams to support architecture initiatives.
- Track project activities, milestones, and alignment to business goals.
- Participate in testing, document results, and gather feedback to support solution implementation.
- Monitor and report on project outcomes, business benefits, and key performance indicators.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline.
- Status as a rising junior or senior with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks.
- Experience with various technologies and hands-on exposure.
- Ability to use AI tools like Microsoft CoPilot, ChatGPT, and GitHub CoPilot.
- Location in the Central or Eastern US time zone, or the willingness to work those business hours.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Prior internship experience, involvement in university clubs, or experience balancing school with a part-time job are preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is remote, with the option to work on-site in Carmel, Indiana, or Chicago, Illinois, if you live within 60 miles of those offices.
- The program runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
- Occasional travel to corporate offices may be required.
- We do not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
