About the role#
The Compact and Large Tractor Product Validation group tests and validates new products and revisions to current models. This team acts as the voice of the customer to ensure that tractors meet performance, safety, and quality expectations before they reach the market. As a co-op, you will work as a full team member under the mentorship of experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience with vehicle testing, data acquisition, and performance validation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with stakeholders as a Subject Matter Expert for field and performance testing.
- Create test requests in the CNH Testing System with clear procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate feature appeal, serviceability, repairability, and overall customer value.
- Perform jury evaluations, software evaluations, and reliability tests on pre-production and production tractors.
- Execute whole-vehicle lab and field tests, including hydraulic efficiency, drawbar performance, and braking tests.
- Benchmark competitive equipment to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair technical issues while coordinating with experts to identify root causes.
- Select, calibrate, and install instrumentation and data acquisition equipment.
- Collect and analyze performance data to determine if systems meet safety and customer requirements.
- Document results in technical reports and present findings to project stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
