About the role#
CNA Corporation is hiring a Communications Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position supports the Strategic Initiatives team in Arlington, Virginia. You will work with leadership to assist with internal and external communications, event planning, and business development efforts.
What you'll do#
- Provide support to internal stakeholders for specific campaigns.
- Assist with planning and executing in-person and hybrid events, including drafting invitations, tracking RSVPs, and preparing read-ahead materials.
- Create marketing materials and slide decks for meetings with external stakeholders.
- Provide logistical support such as notetaking and managing activity trackers.
- Write articles for the internal company newsletter.
- Collaborate with staff to update the website and organize communications content.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the junior or final year of a bachelor’s degree program, or a recent graduate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and organizational abilities.
- A high degree of professionalism.
- Preferred experience includes event planning, communications, journalism, or business development.
Location & details#
- Location: Arlington, Virginia.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to be in the office at least 3 days per week and during specific in-person events.
- Schedule: Full-time for Summer 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
