About the role#
CNA Corporation is hiring a Cybersecurity Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at our office in Arlington, Virginia. You will work within the Chief Information Office team to support daily operations and security projects.
What you'll do#
- Monitor security alerts and incidents via ticketing systems and group mailboxes.
- Provide first-line support to end users and respond to security inquiries.
- Help develop, review, and maintain security policies and standards.
- Support incident response by documenting activities and coordinating with senior analysts.
- Assist with compliance programs and cross-functional audits.
- Educate users on security best practices and ensure service tickets are resolved on time.
- Collaborate with the CIO team and other stakeholders to meet security goals.
- Participate in security awareness and training initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a junior or final year of a bachelor’s degree or a graduate program related to Cybersecurity.
- Previous related coursework or experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for interacting with team members and users.
