About the role#
Join the Technology Operations team as a Cloud Engineering Co-op. You will gain hands-on exposure to cloud environments while working alongside experienced professionals. This is an 8-month opportunity where you will contribute to the deployment and maintenance of cloud resources, primarily using Microsoft Azure with exposure to AWS and Google Cloud Platform. You will help build and support environments that allow application teams to migrate and operate their solutions effectively.
What you'll do#
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud resources in both production and non-production environments.
- Assist in building cloud environments to support application migration and testing.
- Participate in automation, scripting, and various DevOps activities to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to build your knowledge of cloud engineering through training and daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in post-secondary education with a plan to return to full-time studies.
- Pursuit of a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technology field.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure, Python, and scripting.
- A foundational understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with DevOps tools and collaboration platforms like Jira and Confluence is considered an asset.
