About the role#
This summer 2026 internship is based within the Pipelines and Terminals group in Laurel, Montana. You will work alongside an experienced environmental, health, and safety mentor to support environmental operations for bulk refined product and asphalt terminals, as well as pipeline systems.
What you'll do#
- Manage and oversee remediation projects.
- Support waste management compliance, including waste profiling, storage, manifesting, and disposal.
- Assist with air quality compliance tasks such as tank inspections and emissions reporting.
- Update existing Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure plans.
- Review and update Facility Response Plans.
- Coordinate and participate in spill prevention and emergency response training.
- Help develop a drone program for the Pipelines and Terminals group.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your sophomore or junior year in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.6 or better, with a preference for 3.0 or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Previous internship or work experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
