About the role#
This is a paid internship at our ethanol facilities. You will provide technical support to maintain equipment reliability and performance. Your work will help us meet safety, environmental, and economic guidelines. You will work alongside experienced professionals to complete projects and gain hands-on experience in the ethanol industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with mechanical equipment design and inspection data analysis.
- Perform fitness for service evaluations and develop equipment repair plans.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis and troubleshoot equipment performance.
- Recommend maintenance improvements.
- Collaborate with process engineers to design and install plant upgrades.
- Identify and report safety, health, or environmental issues.
- Prepare equipment specifications, integrity evaluations, and research reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a Mechanical, Agriculture, Electrical, Chemical, or Bio-Chemical engineering program at an ABET accredited university.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Previous internship experience in the ethanol or oilseed industries.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site role based in Annawan, Illinois or Rochelle, Illinois.
- The position operates on a rolling basis.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
