About the role#
This internship is a hands-on opportunity to work with the sales team in Philip, South Dakota, during the summer of 2027. You will engage with clients, assist with sales strategies, and gain experience in the agricultural industry. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with sales activities by calling on new accounts and engaging with existing clients.
- Update clients on market trends, current quotes, and programs while helping them form marketing plans.
- Handle the reporting and documentation of sales contracts to ensure accuracy and speed.
- Support the sales team with billing and settlements.
- Coordinate with administrative and operational staff to improve how information flows.
- Maintain professional relationships and provide customer service.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Background knowledge or experience in agriculture, crops, or grain is very helpful.
- Previous internship experience is useful but not required.
