About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Wausa, Nebraska. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical skills in agronomy and sales. The program runs during the Winter and Summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the Agronomy Sales Representative with crop scouting, soil sampling, and solving field agronomic problems.
- Design, monitor, and summarize farm trials to share with customers and the team.
- Use integrated pest management techniques to set treatment thresholds.
- Create written reports for supervisors and customers.
- Learn the features and benefits of agronomy products and services.
- Assist with over-the-counter sales and product delivery.
- Perform warehouse and agronomy plant operations.
- Use the Agris program for invoicing and inventory management.
- Help maintain equipment, facilities, and inventory.
- Ensure all work complies with state, local, and CHS safety and environmental policies.
- Perform custom application if you are qualified.
- Assist other departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Agriculture experience or background knowledge.
- Previous internship experience.
