About the role#
This paid internship offers hands-on experience in the agriculture industry. You will learn about the Beck's organization while assisting with marketing and sales activities. Your work supports the management, distribution, and servicing of accounts across South Dakota. The role runs from May through August 2027, with furnished housing or a stipend provided.
What you'll do#
- Complete training in sales and agronomy to apply toward your daily tasks.
- Support Seed Advisors and staff with field signing, plot maintenance, and dealer transfers.
- Provide field scouting services and gather customer testimonials.
- Plan and organize facility tours and educational meetings for the dealer network.
- Engage in sales activities, including prospecting, cold calls, and interviews.
- Develop and complete a special project to present to staff at the end of the summer.
- Report your progress regularly to the Area Team Leader.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in an agriculture-related college program.
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Past work experience in farming or an agriculture-related field.
- A basic understanding of the agriculture industry and agronomics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer software.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and work as part of a team.
- Capability to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted.
