About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work with the Beck's Research Department to gain experience in corn and soybean research. This role involves travel to various locations to support testing, breeding, and product development. Please note that this is a safety-sensitive position requiring a drug test and background check for all applicants receiving an offer.
What you'll do#
- Prepare seed for the upcoming planting season.
- Travel with staff to plant test plots at various locations.
- Collect early and mid-season agronomic data.
- Assist with pollinating corn in the breeding nursery.
- Support work in molecular marker or transformation laboratories.
- Handle other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to set priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude.
- Experience in agriculture is preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel overnight as needed.
