About the role#
Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is hiring a Financial Reporting Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a part-time, paid internship based on-site in either Dover or Newark, Delaware. You will work within the accounting department to support financial reporting and month-end closing procedures.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly SEC filings including 10-Q and 10-K documents.
- Review earnings call materials and perform quality control checks on financial documents.
- Gather data from business unit accountants and check it for accuracy.
- Help the team with tie-out procedures for completed disclosures.
- Assist with the quarterly disclosure checklist.
- Support the month-end close process by gathering data and preparing journal entries.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Accounting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe software.

- This internship is located in Dover, Delaware and Newark, Delaware.
- This is an on-site, part-time position for Summer 2027.
