On-site Fall 2026 Internship - Inventory & Returns

About the role#

The Inventory & Returns Intern will gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and process improvement. This role supports daily business objectives by managing product returns, reconciling inventory variances, and evaluating operational procedures. Participants will work alongside industry professionals to develop a foundation in supply chain management and operational excellence.

What you'll do#

• Process product returns across multiple business divisions to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Perform inventory control tasks, including basic adjustments, cut pick ticket processing, and reconciliation of variances.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies identified through reporting and EDI transactions.
• Evaluate existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide recommendations to improve clarity and effectiveness.
• Use Microsoft Excel and AI-enabled tools to analyze data, support operational decision-making, and improve workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Current undergraduate Junior, Senior, or Spring 2026 graduate.
• Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with AI tools and applications for productivity and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and work effectively in a team environment.

Location & details#

• Location: Greensboro, North Carolina (On-site).
• Term: Fall 2026 (Early September through December).
• Commitment: Part-time, at least 20 hours per week.
• Status: Paid internship.
