About the role#
The Logistics Engineering Co-Op position provides hands-on experience in driving operational excellence within a distribution environment. You will partner with the Logistics and Leadership teams to analyze performance data, translate insights into actionable recommendations, and support data-driven decision-making. This role involves working on projects that improve efficiency, accuracy, and throughput while gaining exposure to continuous improvement methodologies.
What you'll do#
- Validate system data for time studies, historical data analysis, and process reviews.
- Analyze business and performance metrics across the site.
- Create and maintain dashboard measures to support senior management.
- Develop BI tools to make data analysis repeatable for other users.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including idea generation and leading improvement teams.
- Lead the testing and validation of system enhancements.
- Execute projects related to layout redesign and material handling improvements.
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
What you'll need#
- Progressing toward a BS in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or Operations Management.
- Excellent data analysis skills using Excel and BI tools.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Exposure to analytical and problem-solving methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, or A3.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner within a distribution environment.
- Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours during a shift and lift up to 20 pounds periodically.
