About the role#
This paid internship offers exposure to the technical production environment at WJCL, the ABC affiliate in Savannah. Interns will work directly with the technology team responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining broadcast, communications, and infrastructure systems. The program provides structured training and hands-on experience within a professional media ecosystem.
What you'll do#
- Shadow technology team members to observe daily operations.
- Assist with daily and project-focused technical tasks.
- Participate in structured training sessions regarding broadcast systems.
- Gain practical experience in the technical production environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, or Business Administration.
- An interest in careers related to broadcasting technology, multimedia production, and streaming.
- Foundational knowledge of information technology and communications technology.
- An understanding of electrical engineering principles.

- Location: Savannah, Georgia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Maximum of 24 hours per week for 10 weeks.
