About the role#
This paid internship provides exposure to the daily technical operations of a television station. You will gain hands-on experience by operating equipment under the direct supervision of permanent technical operations staff. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of broadcast engineering and production workflows.
What you'll do#
- Train on various aspects of engineering and production, including floor directing, wireless camera operation, prompter use, editing, and directing.
- Gain exposure to air operations within Master Control.
- Learn about the installation, repair, and support of broadcast systems and IT infrastructure.
- Rotate through technical areas before focusing on specific departments of interest for additional training.
- Operate equipment under close supervision and monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program related to Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Media Studies, or Communications.
- A clear interest in the fields of production and engineering.
- Ability to provide a cover letter detailing your specific objectives for the internship, your expected graduation timeline, availability, and areas of interest.

- Location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 24 hours per week. While specific hours may vary, your scheduled days will remain consistent from week to week.
