About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in forensic accounting and litigation support. You will work with senior team members to understand accounting frameworks and audit methodologies within a legal context. This is a full-time, paid position based in Encino, California, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Review and summarize federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Assist with preliminary valuation, forensic, and appraisal analyses, including data entry for expert witness exhibits.
- Help the discovery team inventory and reconcile data for submission to attorneys, courts, and clients.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with client staff to support service goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to high professional standards in all tasks.
- Use Microsoft Office tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to complete project work.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, with plans to achieve CPA eligibility.
- Strong interpersonal, research, and project management skills.
- Ability to multitask and solve problems independently within a team.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Experience or academic background in accounting, auditing, or forensic services is preferred.
- Participation in student organizations is considered a plus.
