About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in forensic accounting and litigation support. You will work alongside senior team members to learn how accounting frameworks, audit methodologies, and tax laws apply to legal and forensic environments. This is a full-time, paid summer role based on-site in Marlton, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Review and summarize federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, C corporations, and S corporations.
- Assist with forensic, valuation, and appraisal analyses, including data entry for expert witness exhibits.
- Inventory and reconcile documents and data with the discovery team for submission to attorneys, courts, and clients.
- Build professional relationships with client staff to support service goals.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct, personal integrity, and client confidentiality.
- Use Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to complete daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a bachelor's degree in accounting, with a preference for those pursuing a master's degree or planning for CPA eligibility.
- Strong research, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to multitask and solve problems independently within a team.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
- Previous academic, internship, or work experience in accounting, auditing, or investigative services is helpful.
- Active participation in student organizations related to accounting is a plus.
