About the role#
CBIZ is looking for an Audit Intern for the Spring 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in New York, New York. You will work with clients across various sectors including real estate, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Help plan tax assignments and gain experience with IRS audits and tax notice responses.
- Participate in client projects from start to finish.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with client staff to ensure high service standards.
- Handle trust, gift, and estate returns while maintaining strict client confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent research, analytical, and project management abilities.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of an organization.
- Ability to think independently and handle multiple tasks at once.
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is a plus, as is prior experience in accounting or student organizations.
