About the role#
The St. John Paul II Newman Center is looking for a student worker to assist with daily operations. You will help create a welcoming environment for visitors and represent the mission of the center. This is a paid, part-time position open to current UIC students.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and answer their questions.
- Complete closing duties, such as cleaning, taking out the trash, and locking doors.
- Assist Newman Center staff with various administrative tasks.
- Monitor the space and report any suspicious or inappropriate activity to ensure security.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at UIC.
- Minimum age of 18.
- A responsible, punctual, and diligent approach to your work.
- A courteous and friendly attitude when interacting with others.
Location & details#
- The role is based on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
- The pay range is $17.35 to $18.68 per hour.
- Shifts are available Monday through Friday during evening hours.
- This is a rolling position.
