About the role#
The Homestead High School Career Internship program at Carrier offers an opportunity to work within the Strategic Sourcing department during the Fall 2026 term. This role focuses on project management, data analytics, and operational execution. You will gain insight into the daily requirements of sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining a contract portfolio with various suppliers. Interns are included in team meetings and discussions to provide additional learning experiences.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective supply chain operations.
- Manage assigned commodities by planning, procuring, and expediting components to meet production and sales schedules.
- Analyze MRP and SAP data to support inventory goals and monitor supplier performance.
- Resolve Accounts Payable issues to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Support management with assigned projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current high school senior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- You should be organized and detail-oriented.
