About the role#
This is a full-time Mechanical Engineering Co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in New Bremen, Ohio, supporting full-time engineers with technical expertise in mechanical design and testing.
What you'll do#
- Assist full-time engineers with mechanical design, hydraulics, drivetrains, motors, and testing procedures.
- Design and develop forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Create layouts for proposed designs to ensure they are functional and safe.
- Propose hydraulic systems to meet vehicle performance and reliability goals.
- Perform structural or stability analysis on designs using load and stress calculations.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- A reliable means of transportation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
