About the role#
The Maintenance Co-op is a 10-12 week, part-time opportunity for students pursuing education in automotive, diesel, or related technical fields. This role provides hands-on exposure to a professional maintenance shop environment, allowing students to support daily operations and observe experienced technicians as they perform equipment maintenance and repairs.
What you'll do#
- Assist with building and grounds maintenance.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization, including sweeping floors, emptying trash, and painting.
- Support the parts department with stocking, organizing, shipping, and receiving tasks.
- Maintain organized parts and supply areas.
- Observe and assist technicians with minor repairs and maintenance tasks under direct supervision.
- Provide general shop support to the maintenance team.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an automotive, diesel, or related technical program.
- Interest in maintenance, mechanical work, or transportation equipment.
- Ability to work safely around shop equipment and follow all safety procedures.
- Basic math skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a drug screen.
