About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a customer service ambassador for our residents. You will work to reach full occupancy by retaining current residents and leasing available apartment homes. This position requires a collaborative team member who is ready to handle both administrative tasks and direct client interactions.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine client needs and present the community and apartment homes.
- Use feature and benefit selling to close sales and follow up with leads.
- Complete lease applications and maintain accurate file documentation.
- Participate in lease file audits and Cardinal Way of Leasing training.
- Pass third-party leasing shops to become certified.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path.
- Plan and assist with community events and various projects.
- Perform on-call responsibilities, including lock-outs and nightly rounds.
- Handle administrative front desk duties.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Status as a current or future resident of the community.
- Willingness to live on a designated community floor as assigned by the Community Manager.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and core values.
