About the role#
This Student Assistant position is based in the Vehicle Maintenance department at the University of South Florida. You will report to the Manager of Vehicle Maintenance and interact with various campus business partners and university departments. This is a paid, on-site role for current students.
What you'll do#
- Perform clerical tasks including data entry.
- Use MS Word and Excel for daily operations.
- Provide front desk support and customer service.
- Manage routine office duties such as work order tracking.
- Complete additional tasks and projects assigned by the manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a USF student with a Federal Work Study (FWS) award.
- Proof of your FWS award, which must be uploaded with your application.
- Strong organizational skills and a reliable, dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
- Professional demeanor, flexibility, and self-motivation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer tasks, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, websites, and social media.
