About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will support our team in maintaining high occupancy levels through effective leasing and resident retention. You will act as a primary point of contact for prospective residents and assist with daily operations. This role requires living on-site at the community as assigned by the Community Manager.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine resident needs and present apartment homes using feature-benefit selling.
- Manage administrative front desk tasks and complete lease paperwork.
- Maintain accurate lease files and participate in audits.
- Keep the tour path clean and welcoming for visitors.
- Assist with planning community events and various property projects.
- Participate in required training programs, including the Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U.
- Handle on-call responsibilities, including lock-outs and nightly rounds.
- Collaborate with the team to reach leasing goals and provide quality service.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Must be a current or future leaseholder at the community.
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and access all areas of the property, including interior and exterior spaces.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
