About the role#
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer Student to join our team for a 4-month term starting in January 2027. You will work within an agile squad to learn how modern technology platforms are built, delivered, and supported in a large enterprise environment. This is a paid, full-time student position designed for those returning to school after their work term or requiring a placement for graduation.
What you'll do#
- Support the monitoring, maintenance, and improvement of systems, services, and tools that enable software delivery.
- Assist in deploying new capabilities while applying DevOps principles.
- Participate in agile squad activities, including the automation of tools and processes.
- Contribute to CI/CD initiatives to enable reliable software deployments.
- Help build new solutions and support the migration of existing capabilities to modern platforms.
- Automate current processes and contribute to infrastructure standards.
- Collaborate with developers and operations teams to support system performance.
- Create technical documentation and share operational best practices.
- Explore a range of technology disciplines, including cloud, software development, and quality assurance.
What you'll need#
- Currently in your second-year or higher pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong academic achievement and a desire for continuous learning.
- Innovative problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative mindset that also allows for independent work.
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure automation.
- Experience with programming, automation, or scripting from coursework or personal projects.
- Understanding of APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Exposure to cloud computing technologies.
- Experience working on team-based academic projects or within an agile environment.
- Ability to obtain a Reliability Status Security Clearance.
