About the role#
The Student Project Engineer role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in heavy civil construction. Working from field offices and project sites in Tacoma, you will support project teams with essential administrative and documentation tasks. This is a full-time, paid internship position for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist Project Managers, onsite Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Engineers with project documentation and administrative functions.
- Maintain job diaries, photograph logs, and video logs.
- Collect timecards and equipment usage reports.
- Assist the Superintendent with daily project reports.
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to the agreed-upon work schedule.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study.
- Proficiency in computer applications, specifically MS Word and Excel.
- A valid state driver’s license and the ability to meet the requirements of the company driving policy.
- Ability to pass a drug screening, driving record check, and background screening.
