About the role#
The Student Assistant for Dining Services helps with the daily operations of the Burger Envy location. This role is designed to help students build customer service skills and work effectively within a team. You will support the dining staff while gaining professional experience on campus.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and serve food to customers.
- Handle cashiering duties and wait tables.
- Receive and stock food orders and other necessary items.
- Assist individuals with questions or requests via phone, email, or in person.
- Prepare documents and materials as needed for the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Cal Poly Pomona student.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and customers.
- Ability to obtain a SERV Safe Certification within 30 days of your start date.
- Interest in majors such as Business Administration, Public Health, or Nutrition is helpful but not required.

- This position is located on-site in Pomona, California.
- The role is part-time and follows a rolling application basis.
- This is a paid position.
