About the role#
CACI is looking for a Software Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 Makalu program. This internship focuses on new development within an agile framework. You will work on-site to build components and products that support mission needs.
What you'll do#
- Design architecture for new components.
- Develop front-end applications and back-end microservices.
- Build new UI applications and suggest improvements to the existing interface.
- Solve technical problems and meet program objectives.
- Use industry-proven design patterns and open-source tools.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Entry-level coding experience.
- Familiarity with Java Spring Boot and REST-based web services.
- Experience with Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with web technologies like HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript build tools.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a part-time, paid internship.
- Work is on-site in Denver, Colorado, or Sterling, Virginia.
- The term is Summer 2027.
