About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site to support supply chain operations across the New England and Pennsylvania regions. The role provides hands-on experience in the wholesale grocery industry, including professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support warehouse safety engagement programs, including safety committee meetings, safety blitzes, EHS walks, fatal risk audits, and incident investigations.
- Assist with warehouse safety regulatory compliance initiatives and the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
- Use the Benchmark Gensuite platform to complete assigned tasks and projects.
- Partner with Warehouse Operations, Field Training, and Human Resources on shared initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and refine department tools or templates.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation while attending meetings to contribute your own ideas.
- Complete a final end-of-internship presentation to showcase your learning objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program, majoring in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Completion of your Sophomore year by the start of the internship.
- Good academic standing, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Required proficiency in Microsoft Excel and preferred experience with Google Workspace.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
