About the role#
This is a summer internship within the Accounting Service Center at BWXT. You will rotate through several departments, spending about two weeks in each area, including AR/Billings, Accounts Payables, Travel Expense processing, General Ledger Accounting, and payroll.
What you'll do#
- Provide SAP transactions and expense reporting data for AR billings.
- Review employee expense reports.
- Scan general ledger transactions and assist with filing and scanning for payroll.
- Support team members with daily operational tasks.
- Collaborate with office staff, leaders, and customers to meet their needs.
- Evaluate current systems and procedures to suggest process improvements, including the use of AI.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop working relationships with others.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
