About the role#
Butterball is hiring an IT Site Admin Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Garner, North Carolina. You will spend 10 to 12 weeks identifying technology-based improvement opportunities and managing project plans for implementation. This program aims to grow future leaders through hands-on assignments within the food manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate on-site processes with operations groups to find improvement needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and implement solutions.
- Submit project proposals and manage workflows using Smartsheet.
- Digitize paper processes and create SOP documents.
- Calculate the ROI for new or existing software opportunities.
- Initiate and lead conversations, presentations, and training sessions.
- Work across departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, and IT.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- A valid drivers license and reliable transportation for travel to plants and live operation sites.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect technical solutions to business impact.
- Comfort with public speaking and leading professional discussions.
- A balance of technical and analytical thinking skills.
