About the role#
Butterball is hiring an IT Project Coordination Intern for the Summer 2027 term. Based in Garner, North Carolina, this internship focuses on SAP project management within the food and beverage manufacturing industry. You will work alongside a Senior Project Manager to identify a technology-based improvement opportunity and manage its implementation plan. This is a full-time, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Manage the SAP project plan and maintain the integrated project schedule.
- Track milestones and identify overdue activities by following up with workstream leads.
- Create status reports, dashboards, meeting materials, and project updates that cover scope, schedule, risks, and resources.
- Organize meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Learn project management methodologies, SAP implementation practices, and IT project governance.
- Lead conversations, presentations, and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2028 and June 2030.
- A valid drivers license and reliable transportation for frequent travel to plants and live operation locations.
- A balance of technical and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand how IT impacts different business areas.
- Comfort with public speaking and the ability to build connections to implement change.
