About the role#
As a Systems Engineering Co-Op with Mercury Racing, you will join the product development team in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This role focuses on the development and validation of racing prototypes and production components. You will work directly with engineers to test mechanical and electrical engine systems in a professional manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support system level component testing and validation for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assist with hands-on prototype and production builds.
- Set up test instrumentation and conduct post-test data analysis.
- Apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering tasks under the guidance of experienced professionals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Electrical Engineering or a similar major.
- Minimum second semester sophomore status with at least 48 completed credits.
- Working knowledge of powertrain or drivetrain components.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, lab instruments, and measurement devices like calipers and gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) from January through August 2027.

- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 (January through August).
- Compensation: This is a paid position with a pay range of $18.00 to $27.50 per hour.
