About the role#
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support the operations team in New York Mills, Minnesota. This position assists with sustaining current production activities for Lund and Crestliner brands while helping launch new processes and products. You will report directly to a Manufacturing Engineer and gain exposure to fabrication, riveting, welding, paint, upholstery, and final assembly processes.
What you'll do#
- Design manufacturing tooling using 3D CAD software such as Solidworks.
- Design and construct workstation benches, layouts, and assembly aids.
- Create, organize, and update manufacturing documentation and gather as-built information.
- Conduct time studies and assist with process improvements and labor balancing.
- Work with Product Development and Engineering personnel to implement engineering change notices.
- Contribute to problem-solving, cost reduction, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Completion of at least 80 credits toward your degree.
- Experience using 3D modeling software like Solidworks or Draftsight.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Pay: $18.00 to $27.00 per hour.
