About the role#
Bridgewater Bank is seeking an intern for the Summer 2027 cohort to join the Human Resources Department. This role focuses on Benefits and Payroll, providing you with practical corporate experience in a banking environment. You will work alongside team members to support internal processes and contribute to meaningful projects.
What you'll do#
- Support payroll and benefits projects, including process documentation, data review, and reporting.
- Assist with employee communication tasks.
- Gain exposure to HR systems, payroll cycles, benefits programs, and compliance considerations.
- Partner with the Benefits and Payroll team and the broader HR department.
- Participate in department meetings.
- Present your work to the intern cohort and senior leadership teams at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year bachelor degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Data Science.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain discretion and handle confidential employee, payroll, and benefits information.
- Comfort learning new HR and payroll systems.
- Experience with spreadsheets, reporting, or data entry is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Location: St Louis Park, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 25, 2027 to August 20, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $22 per hour, including 2 paid holidays and PTO accrued in compliance with Minnesota law.
