About the role#
As a Process Engineering Intern at the bp Cherry Point refinery, you will contribute to the operations of a major energy facility. This 12-week summer program provides hands-on experience in refining technologies and supports the transition of the refinery into a lower carbon integrated energy hub. You will work on-site, supported by a line manager and a buddy, while collaborating with teams across the business.
What you'll do#
- Support and optimize operating process plants and facilities.
- Supervise day-to-day operations and evaluate unit targets.
- Balance unit operations to ensure the reliability of refining technologies.
- Participate in projects that support the refinery's transformation into an integrated energy hub.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Chemical Engineering.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
