About the role#
As a Process Engineer intern, you will join our refinery operations team in Sarnia. You will work alongside operations, reliability, and automation engineers to ensure our units run safely and reliably. This role involves balancing day-to-day operational support with long-term projects focused on facility improvements.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain safe and reliable unit operations.
- Identify and implement improvements that focus on safety, reliability, economics, and sustainability.
- Communicate the status of unit operations, cost data, and improvement opportunities to stakeholders.
- Assist with routine energy, environmental, and cost reporting.
- Develop new applications and maintain the performance of existing systems.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process Control, Computer Science, or Environmental Engineering at a Canadian Accredited University.
- You must be enrolled in a university engineering program and intend to return to full-time studies after this work term.
- You are available for a work term starting in either January or May 2027.
- You have demonstrated leadership skills and a strong academic record.
